Mariotti Featured in Kaufman Speaker Series at University of Akron
John Mariotti was the featured speaker at both the Entrepreneurship Awards Luncheon and the General Session of the Donald Kaufman Speaker Series on the University of Akron campus. At the luncheon, Mariotti reviewed current events and how strong, positive leadership can favorably influence outcomes, with a group of award winners, faculty, staff and corporate benefactors.
In the general session and then Student Union Theatre, a group of approximately 300 students and faculty heard Mariotti speak more broadly on leadership, the characteristics of great leaders and leaders roles in our society and business enterprises. The emphasis of his presentation to the student portion of the audience reminded them that they are all leaders, either by their words, their actions or their example. His message was well received by all.
Mariotti was welcomed by Dean Raj Aggarwal of the Business School and introduced by Donald Kaufman, retired president and CEO of Alside, Inc.
Mariotti Keynotes New York State Ag Conference
John Mariotti's keynote presentation on "The Power of Partnerships--How partnership and collaboration makes business successful and fun" was the highlight of the 174th Annual New York State Agricultural Society's Annual Forum.
In its 174th year, this largest ever Ag Society Forum was attended by almost 400 people and covered a wide range of topics illustrating the important role of partnerships as a key element in building and sustaining the strong agricultural economy of the state of New York.

A multi-media Web seminar entitled From Wall Street to Main Street: Driving Communications in High Profile Litigation & Crisis, co-featured John Mariotti presenting with two senior members of the Washington firm, Levick Strategic Communications on how to deal with looming or actual crises and high-profile litigations.
Founder Richard Levick's firm has provided communications counsel in many high-profile cases, involving celebrities like Rosie O'Donnell, organizations such as the Catholic Church, and public health issues like Chi-Chi's "green onions" case. Co-presenter Michael Robinson, also part of the Levick firm was previously a communications executive with NASDAQ and the SEC. Mariotti's role was to bring the perspective of a Director, Corporate Executive and Board Chairman to the audience. The webinar aired on Sept. 21, 2004.
Mariotti contributes to Henkel Consumer Adhesives' 2004-2005 Programs
John Mariotti was an active contributor to the 2004 Henkel Consumer Adhesives (HCA) Supplier Summit meeting, held in Cleveland, OH. He served as both a presenter and as the moderator of an outstanding panel discussion. Mariotti then wrapped up the Henkel Consumer Adhesives Operations Strategy Meeting in early 2005. HCA is a market leader in tapes, adhesives, and due to a recent acquistion in sealants and caulks. It is also the well known "Duck Tape" company.
Mariotti Keynotes Supply Chain Strategy Forum at Georgia Tech
On April 2, 2003 in Atlanta, Georgia, John Mariotti opened the first Supply Chain Strategy Forum for The Logistics Institute of Georgia Tech University with a leading edge expose on "The Curse of Complexity". Mariotti shared his latest insights on this undiscovered scourge of many businesses--the unmeasured and uncontrolled explosion of complexity and proliferation--of almost everything.
The group, made up of leading supply chain executives and educators from well known companies such as Hershey Corp., UPS, Schneider National, Menlo Logistics, and many more such organizations, maintained a lively discussion about this new and unexplored management challenge.
Mariotti Addresses Product Development Management Association
On May 29, 2002 John Mariotti Addressed the Tri-State Chapter of the Product Development Management Association in a special session held at the Historic Engineer's Club in Dayton, OH, home of such legendary innovators as Orville and Wilbur Wright.æ His presentation, entitled "How Great Products Energize Great Companies" described how modern product development parallels the work of ancient alchemists in making something special from ordinary materials, and emphasized theæ essential role of people working as partners in launching great new products.
